QuizFaber: It is free software which can be used for designing multimedia quizzes as a hypertext (HTML) document. After installing the program an instructor can easily and quickly create a variety type of quizzes such as matching, multiple choice, true or false and open answer questions. Then the quiz is ready to be published on Internet or on a PC. Also font types, background images, colors and sounds can be customized. In addition this program provides quiz results on a table and even sends you via email. Moreover it lets the users add multimedia objects like images, sounds and videos to their quizzes. This quiz-making program is very easy to use and a nice equipment for both teachers and students.

Hot-Potatoes: It is software which enables the users design six types of exercises. You can create short answer, matching/ordering, jumbled-sentence, cross-word, gap-fill, and multiple-choice exercises interactively by this program. It is not free software, but it is free for people who work for non-profit-making, publicly-founded educational organizations. Others must pay for a license which is on its website. Hot Potatoes has different versions suitable for Windows, Linux, and Mac. It is a very useful program for ESL and EFL learners and its exercises can be created and modified easily and are supported by all modern Web browsers. It is also possible to add images both from your computer and Web URL.
